LT NI Tracker Poll – Autumn 2018

LT NI Opinion Panel 'Tracker' Poll – Autumn 2018

LucidTalk run, and have been running, regular Northern Ireland (NI) Opinion Panel 'Tracker Polls' every 3 months to constantly gauge and estimate NI public opinion on a wide range of issues e.g. politics, business, consumer, lifestyle etc. Here we present the report from our Autumn 2018 NI-Wide Opinion Panel Tracker Poll - this poll-project aimed to research NI representative opinions and views covering a range of issues including for this poll-project: Trust in Theresa May, NI and Brexit, DUP-Conservative deal at Westminster, RHI & Ian Paisley Jnr – impact on DUP support. The polls are regular 'Tracker' polls of the established LT Northern Ireland Opinion Panel (now over 10,000 members). The LucidTalk Opinion Panel consists of Northern Ireland residents (age 18+) and is balanced by gender, age-group, area of residence, and community background, in order to be demographically representative of Northern Ireland. For this Autumn 2018 NI Tracker poll-project our NI-Wide and representative Opinion Panel was targeted, and invited to participate, and 1,694 full responses were received. LT then constructed a NI representative 1,535 sample of responses which were used to determine the final results (researched to be a balanced, robust, and accurate sample of NI opinion). AUTUMN 2018 NI Opinion Panel 'Tracker' Poll - Full Results Report: Click Here Methodology: Polling was carried out by Belfast based polling and market research company LucidTalk. The project was carried out online for a period of 55 Hours from 25th September 2018 to 27th September 2018. The project targeted the established LucidTalk NI-Wide Opinion Panel (10,387 members) which is balanced by gender, age-group, area of residence, and community background, in order to be demographically representative of Northern Ireland(NI). 1,535 full responses were considered in terms of the final results, and a data auditing process ensured all completed poll-surveys were genuine 'one-person, one-vote' responses, and also to ensure a robust NI representative sample of opinion. This 1,535 responses dataset was/is a demographically representative sample of Northern Ireland - producing results representative of NI Opinion to within an error of +/-3%. NB the date-stamped data-auditing process, used to ensure eg all responses were genuine, and were ‘one-person, one-response’ only, is shown within the 'Full Base Data-Set' results - see below.
