Opinion Polling Overview

Northern Ireland Opinion Panel 16,000+ members

LucidTalk use both polling and predictive methodologies to achieve the maximum accuracy within their polling and market research projects.

The primary polling research methodology used is online, using the now 16,000+ member Northern Ireland (NI) Opinion Panel. Online polling is widely regarded as the ‘gold standard’ in market research, having demonstrated high levels of accuracy in key elections and referendums – including the EU Referendum (2016), US Presidential Elections (2016, 2020, 2024), NI Assembly elections (2017, 2022), and UK General Elections (2017, 2019, 2024).

The online channel is the methodology used because it ensures that robust representative samples of opinion are obtained in any project targeted sector.

Optionally, the client’s name and business can be incorporated into the polling activity. Given the scale of participant engagement, many respondents also share details of the poll, alongside the client’s branding – within their personal networks, generating significant indirect word-of-mouth exposure.

Notably, this level of outreach and organic visibility often exceeds what traditional radio and television advertising can achieve.
