Thedetail – NI and ROI Poll-Projects

LucidTalk were recently commissioned by the detail.tv (an impartial digital publisher covering public interest journalism) to conduct a Northern Ireland (NI) poll-survey, and in parallel a Republic of Ireland (ROI) poll-survey, researching views on Brexit, the NI Border, a NI Border poll, Citizens Assembly, Legacy, and related issues.

For the NI poll-project, the established Northern Ireland (NI) LucidTalk online Opinion Panel (13,267 members) was used, which is balanced by gender, age-group, area of residence, and community background, in order to be demographically representative of Northern Ireland. 1,896 full responses were collated, and after data auditing to ensure: (a) 'one person-one vote' responses, and (b) the collation of a robust, accurate, and balanced representative NI sample, - 1,871 full responses were recorded and used for analysis in terms of the final results. Likewise, for the ROI poll-project, the established Republic of Ireland LucidTalk online Opinion Panel (8,346 members) was used, which is balanced by gender, age-group, area of residence, and community background, in order to be demographically representative of the ROI. 1,171 full responses were collated, and after data auditing to ensure: (a) 'one person-one vote' responses, and (b) the collation of a robust, accurate, and balanced representative Republic of Ireland sample, - 1,130 full responses were recorded and used for analysis in terms of the final results. Polling took place between 31st January – 3rd February 2020.

This was a client commissioned poll carried out by LucidTalk Limited in accordance with the professional standards and regulations as directed and laid down by the UK and Ireland polling and market research professional organisations including the British Polling Council: See LucidTalk - Professional Credentials below. All poll questions were proposed by the detail.tv, - however, and as always with client commissioned projects, LucidTalk worked with the detail.tv to endeavour to agree on poll questions that were, as far as possible, neutral and balanced, within the context of the detail.tv’s project objectives. All data results belong to the detail.tv, and as such any inquiries regarding this poll-project, the poll-project results, press and media coverage of the poll-project, should be made directly to the detail.tv – email: thedetail.tv email.

In accordance with British Polling Council (BPC) rules and regulations we enclose here the full poll-project data-table results covering the poll result(s) that the client has already published, and have entered the public domain: Full Results Data-Tables (inc. results graphics) - NI: CLICK HERE - (will appear at bottom left in excel/csv format).
